All-New Mercedes-AMG Stroller It Has A Manual Handbrake

Are you an influencer with a brand-new baby on the way? Well, have we got some good news for you. Mercedes-Benz recently teamed up with Hartan to design a brand-new Mercedes-AMG baby stroller. Hartan and Mercedes have been collaborating for three years, and their most recent effort was a stroller designed to fit in the back of a Mercedes-AMG GT. Skoda also did something similar in 2013, but there hasn’t been a Skoda stroller since. Mercedes-AMG essentially owns this particular segment.

The new model is even more hardcore and is available in three trims: AMG GT, Avantgarde, and Performance.

The design of the new stroller is a result of close coordination between Mercedes-Benz’s design department and Hartan. It incorporates Merc’s know-how for sporty performance and the craftsmanship of Hartan, producer of quality German strollers since the 1950s.

On the outside, the Mercedes-AMG stroller is finished in alpine grey as an homage to the Silver Arrows. The light grey handle stitching and graphite grey chassis of the AMG GT model are visual suggestions to remind customers of what the AMG brand stands for. The stroller also comes standard with a manual handbrake, a five-point harness for the baby, and a height-adjustable chassis. We bet the infamous car-scratching man in London would not have been so angry if he had one of these.

The AMG GT model also comes with AMG-designed cross-spoke wheels and an AMG seat cover. You can also order it with red handle stitching, which contrasts nicely with the graphite grey chassis.

The Avantgarde model is more of an environmentally friendly statement. Sort of like the Mercedes-Benz EQS. The interior is finished in “vegan leatherette.” No animals were harmed in the making of this particular stroller. According to the press release, this new material was put through 100,000 abrasion cycles during testing. The average newborn baby stands no chance against this rugged animal-friendly interior.

Avantgarde trim unlocks more color options, including Magmagrey, Steel, Opalith, Tarfufo, and Denim lue.

The Performance model is where it’s really at, however. It’s the successor to the “legendary” Topline S from Hartan. With the flick of the wrist, the stroller’s handle can be swiveled to the other side to provide the baby with a view. It also has large, lockable wheels with suspension. On this model, you also get a spacious and easily accessible shopping basket with an organizer.

As this is a Mercedes product, naturally, there are a few options. These include a carrycot with color-contrasting double-stitched seams, sunshades, windbreakers, footmuffs, and a selection of stylish nappy bags and backpacks.

A three-year warranty is standard. Unfortunately, Merc’s twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 is not included in the price, which means this AMG GT is powered by whatever you had for breakfast.

Each one of these bad boys costs in the region of $1,000.
